Detailed Instructions for Group Meetings

These instructions will be updated for every event and reflect the most recent event.

Current instructions are for January 21, 2024.

To ensure Disneyland Lolita Day runs smoothly, your hosts have written details of group meetings throughout the day. Please be sure to read these over as group meetings will be large and will need to be kept organized. For each meeting we expect attendees to respect other guests at the park and all Cast Members.

An emphasis we have for our event is “Go Have Fun!”. Whether you’re an Annual Passholder or have a One Day Ticket, there’s so much to do at Disneyland. We want to encourage our attendees to go have fun at the Parks, so are no longer providing a Hosts’ Schedule. Buttons will be available during our usual hours of 10am to 1:30pm at the lower dining are of the Hungry Bear Restaurant, as well as near Sleeping Beauty castle after our Castle Photo, and before and after Mickey and the Magical Map. Remember Your Hosts come to celebrate this fun event too, so we want to go have fun and watch all of you lovely dressed up people roam around the park as well!

We are now in our eighth year, and have most definitely grown, which means we’ve outgrown our Group Ride, the Mad Tea Party. We typically enjoy offering a group meeting, something relaxing and enjoyable, but unfortunately for this year there are no shows at the theater, so we're sticking to our two main Group Meetings this time around.

Hungry Bear Restaurant

  • Your hosts will be in the lower dining area of the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country. Please refer to the map and photos in the above link for the location.

  • We will be in this location from 10:00 am- 1:30 pm.

  • Attendees will receive a Limited Edition Disneyland Lolita Day 2024 button, on which we will write your name. Please remember that because they are limited, buttons will be reserved for attendees who are dressed in lolita fashion and accompanying styles such as ouji or kodona.

  • Determination of outfits will be at the discretion of your hosts. We apologize, but we are unable to hand out buttons to those not dressed in lolita or an accompanying style.

  • Buttons are given out on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Please see full button rules here.
     

  • Quite a few of our attendees arrive before Your Hosts do in this location, so we ask that attendees line up in an orderly fashion. This will ensure that we are giving out buttons on a first come, first serve basis.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Group Photo

  • This is an extremely busy photo location. Our group photo must be taken in an organized manner in order to not disrupt other guests. If at any time Disney finds the photo troublesome, they may not allow it to happen.

  • Please arrive about 15 minutes early, and stay towards the sides so other guests can still take their photos. Street area must be clear at all times.

  • Attendees are encouraged to stay in the shaded area toward the left side of the castle, and in the shaded walkway that leads to the Fantasy Faire area. Hosts will call everyone forward when we’re ready to organize for the photo.

  • At 2:00 sharp we will call for attendees to organize themselves into rows. Please listen carefully and closely to all instructions of Hosts and Cast Members. Please use the gold compass line as the marker for the front row.

  • Move down as far as you can! Create rows! Keep moving! There tends to be a lot of bunching as everyone tries to fill in, but the faster we can get organized, the less you all will have to stay in the bright sun!

  • We do request that only attendees who have received a button be a part of the photo.

  • Both the Hosts and a Photopass Cast Member will take photos of the group. We will not take any requests for personal camera photos as it is not feasible.

  • Most important is our Official Photo, taken by Hayley. Our photo is very large, and every year we have to yell in order to get family, friends, and passersby to MOVE BACK. If you have friends and family taking photos for you, please instruct them to be across the street, behind Hayley, until she can get far enough back to take the photo!

  • Parasols are not permitted in the photo to allow everyone to be seen.

  • When possible, Hosts will give out DLD buttons before and after the photo, along with taking attendees’ Lolita Day Snaps.
