Created ‎July ‎16, ‎2013; Updated August 10, 2019.

“The goal of the Disneyland® Resort is to provide a safe, secure environment for our Guests to enjoy.

Clothing, makeup and tattoos that may distract from the Disneyland® Resort experience or that may

pose a safety or health issue are not permitted.”

Generally, Disneyland does not have a problem with lolitas entering their parks (especially during Halloween Time), but there are guidelines that must be followed in order to create a great experience for all attendees.

Guests cannot resemble any Disney character.

  • Though we have seen many guests where character-inspired coordinates, we find It helps to wear dresses with prints to avoid being mistaken for a character.

  • It is recommended that you do not come dressed in, for example:

    • A blue dress with a white apron (Alice)

    • A red polka dotted dress (Minnie Mouse)

Assure your outfit is of good quality.

  • Cheap Halloween-style “lolita” outfits will likely not be admitted into the park.

  • If your outfit looks like a costume, you will most likely not be allowed in.

Consider wearing Mickey ears!

  • They are a great way to distinguish yourself as a guest and not a Cast Member.

Be careful when choosing a wig

  • While it is popular to have brightly colored hair lately, we have found many of our attendees stick with natural colored hair, as the the fashion itself tends to be bold.

Makeup choices

  • Natural makeup is preferred, as “stage makeup” may cause issues.

Guests wearing wedding attire are discouraged from entering the parks.

  • Beautiful as Shiro coordinates are, please assure you won’t be mistaken for it being your wedding day!

Wear comfortable Shoes!

  • You will do a lot walking around the parks, so please wear something practical that will last you all day, or consider bringing a change of shoes.

Consider bringing items to keep you cool!

    • A parasol is a great way to beat the heat, especially since a lot of the park is outdoors.

    • We encourage you to bring a water bottle that you can refill, as it will be hot out!

Do not wear any offensive words or pictures.

  • Clothing or tattoos with obscene, lewd or offensive language, graphics or designs will not be permitted in the parks.

Do not wear anything too revealing.

  • Though lolita is a “covered” fashion, please be aware of how revealing your clothing choice is.

If you are unsure about your outfit, bring an alternative with you!

  • We wouldn’t want you to miss out on this fun day, so be prepared just in case you run into issues!

  • The determination of who is let into the park is decided by Disney Cast Members. We cannot be held responsible if you are not able to gain entry to the parks.

We have galleries of Lolita Day Snaps from years past to help you!
